Something of the alchemists still or lantern in a Gothic novel about Metal Glass is born from a combination between the centuries-old blown glass tradition and the industrial appeal of metal. It is as magical in its shape as it is in its lighting effect with a dense and almost opaque transparency achieved by provoking a chemical reaction in its still-incandescent vitreous paste. This creates a myriad of bubbles, called puleghe in Venetian dialect, which is the origin of this quasi-magical material's name, vetro pulegoso. When the lamp is switched on these puleghe are transformed into luminous particles which contrast with a white light shining inside its central cylinder. Metal Glass is available in four vintage-inspired colours and two versions, suspension or table.
